D700 Bracketing

In P mode, my D700 produced the following exposure-shifted images:

The exposure bias of the rightmost images is given as 1 EV and 2 EV even though both aperture and speed have changed one unit. How come ?

In the following series, one sees that the first two images are 2 EV apart if one trusts the aperture and speed, but only 1 EV apart if one trusts the exposure bias, whereas the first and last images are 3 EV apart if one trusts the aperture and speed data or only 2 EV apart if one trusts the exposure bias:

Pretty odd too.

Is this what other D700 users see ? Or should I send my D700 to Nikon Service ?
